I am the slackiest slacker in the world, and I need to be punished for it- luckily, Phinneas Vella, the owner of PEER Style, loves me to death, and instead of punishing, throws lovely stuffs at me to encourage me to blog. Yay!

SOPA and PEER

So, I was contemplating blacking out the blog for the day, but I realised it would not do much good, and then I would have to figure out how to unblock it,.. lol! Instead I have decided to just make the statement about what I feel about SOPA and the whole Internet Piracy Issue.

SOPA is badly written, and comes down to censorship, it is leading us closer to Big Brother, and will fail entirely at what it is trying to accomplish. I for one tend to listen to music on YouTube (Or I did before the new channels and look.. kinda hate the site now) and I find songs or new artists I like, and go buy their music. If I did not hear it on youtube, or in links from friends, I would never have found the music to buy. No exposure = no purchase.
SOPA would make that option for me go away, and so really, the people pushing the bill woudl be cutting off their own income.

I am huge on Freedom, and Equality. Everyone should have the same rights. That said, Piracy is not cool. However guess what? People who Pirate stuff, will CONTINUE to do so. Yeah, cause they are criminal, and criminals DON'T OBEY LAWS.... so, why pass a law that only harms the people who are being good in the first place?

I understand not wanting your things stolen, I mean, I make stuff so I get it. but there are people who will steal no matter what. Punishing everyone is not the way to make the issue go away.

Okay, off my soapbox now... :)

Last Day of Christmas

Well, my friends, due to a technical glitch it seems that we've missed a few days, and those stars have left... but here is today's clue:

It is the last day before Christmas. And the Yellow Star has come to visit. He was intrigued by a ancient vessel. Stars always guided such crafts... This craft might have fared better if the Star was steering it, but you know.... that whole no arms and hands thing...

The Sapphire Star has moved on, but the Storm Gray Star is still here

Will you be having a White Christmas this year? The Storm Gray Star says let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

On the 9th Day of Christmas...

A new star descended from the heavens. It had heard that a big change was soon coming to our sim, and there was a model of it for all to see. So this ....... ummmm... Light Red Star is admiring the handy work of PEER's Master builders.

Also The Green Star will be hanging around for a bit long as well.

**Yes, you heard it- PEER is going to have a brand new build soon- and having seen it personally, I can say it is officially The Awesome. January 2nd will be the date of unveiling, and there will be a party happening on January 13th with DJ Rocky & DJ Cooper! Come check it out!**

Locke fell asleep and forgot about the stars. When he woke up he saw a Green Star hovering above him. Knowing he couldn't leave the star above his bed (so don't look there), he convinced it to go to a place where you could buy beds.

Fifth Day of Stars at PEER!

On the 5th day of Christmas:: The 5th star has a few things in common with Rudolph.

He had a red shiny nose... and the Star is just red and shiny.

Although unlike Rudolph, the Red Star can go to this place, the other Reindeer would never let poor Rudolph.... Damn Reindeer can be so mean!!

Also as before the Teal Star will be around for another day, but the Purple star will be leaving.

Day Four - PEER Style's 12 Days of Christmas!

On the 4th day of Christmas.:: Choirs of Angels sang as they gazed at the Teal Star... Well except for the Angel sending out this hint as to where you can find it. So to find this Gift bearing star, look for the angels.

The Azure Star will be returning home, but the Purple star will remain here till tomorrow, in case anyone missed it!

The Third Star

The coming of the 3rd day; This time of year marks the joyous occasions. For children its the coming of Santa. For some its when family comes to visit. For others its when family decides its time to go to their own homes. But it also is the time when the bitter winter comes, as well. The Purple Star has taken refuge from the winter cold, amongst things that bring us comfort, in our homes.

The White star, has retreated back to the heavens. While the Azure star, has decided it will remain for a while longer.

They give you great Christmas gifts from PEER. Beginning Dec 13th PEER will
begin celebrating the 12 days of Christmas.
Each day a different colored star, will be hidden somewhere on the commercial
part of the sim. To get the gift, you will need to wear your PEER group tag. We
will provide clues each day as to whe the star may be. More details will follow

The First day of Christmas The first Star can be found above the most recognized decoration, used at
Christmas time. However PEER'S is made of an element that embodies the harsh
weather found in the winter. This star is a White Star, thus it may be easiest
to spot if SL is set to night.

Also we wanted to let all of our Peer-lings know. The with the coming of the
new year, change is coming to the store you know and love. The complex will soon
be replaced with a new design.

(( As we begin the Holiday Season, We would like to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season this year. As well as ask that as you participate in this years hunt, please be respectful to the the residents who live on the sim, and do not enter any homes unless invited. All of the hunt objects will be hidden amongst the stores in the

Newness from PEER Style & PEER Jewellery!!

Phinneas Vella and Marck Aries have been hard at work, creating some GORGEOUS new items for their stores!

For those with more exotic tastes, Phinneas has created a gorgeous line of harem outfits in varying colours and textures. The top is sheer, curve-hugging, and resize-scripted... offering an easy accomodation for the more or less voluptuous. The bottoms hug the hips, and show off a bit of 'butt-cleavage'... just enough to be sexy, without being raunchy. Sculpts make up the pantaloons.

Marck's creation is this delicate gold-and-pearl necklace and earring set, called Incili. It is resize-scripted, and features a ring of pearls with delicate dangling strings of pearls to accent.

I happen to be wearing a pre-release of the Incili set, but the harem outfits are available now at the PEER Style Main Store!

When the designer of this set offered me a pre-release copy of it, I just had to say yes. I then, without thinking about it, went over to the accessory fair, and was approached by about a half-dozen women who asked where I'd gotten it.

Sorry to have taunted you, ladies.

Almaz is now available for purchase! It comes in various colours, with different metals, and not only do you get the necklace- you get matching earrings!

I get compliments every single time I wear it!

We have a new drow skin over at the PEER Mainstore. Along with the new skin, there is a shape you can buy, and if you buy the whole avatar, you get it with the Jason hair as well. Whoot!!!

Whats New at PEER

It has been a while since we updated the PEER blog. A lot has happened since then, too much really to say in one post, so I will give you a quick overview.

First and formost, we have an exciting NEW build! Much eaiser to shop in!!! Built by our very own Ander Galthie.

We have started to sell jewelry made by my brother Marck Aries, which is absolutely stunning. Simple elegant masculine pieces. He also has started to make hair for men, and we have the first one out in the Main Store now. More will be coming in the next few months. Marck and his partner also own a club, Play, over on the other end of the PEER sim, and they have fun parties and great DJ’s there once or twice a week. A friendly atmosphere, where everyone is welcome. Drama is left at the door.

Then, we have our male skins. So far the only one out is the Duke in Dark. They are only 1000L, so a good deal for someone wanting a nice skin on a budget. The Medium and Light will be out in Spring.

Finally we have Leather pants, for the same cost as our jeans, and they also have prim cuffs.

New shapes, and clothes have been put out, and you can look forward to even more new releases!

Today we move away from the design arm of Peer and on to the marketing department. Kytheron Decosta and I make up the marking team. Today I've answered my own questions below so you will have some insight into the brain behind the blog.

Please describe your job at Peer and why you love it.
I am part of the marketing arm of Peer. Probably the left arm. I am responsible for the Peer Style blog. I make sure all of our new releases get a post, that the pics look good, and that it keeps you entertained and well informed. I like my job because it's creative and I don't have upload stuff to SL and make sure the permissions are all set up correctly to sale.

What do you feel is the best thing about being involved with Peer?
The best thing about working at Peer is getting to work with so many really talented people. I also like having Phinn as a boss. He's the greatest. We get free mochas at the employee coffee bar in the break room. He supports our creativity. He's always responsive to our needs without micromanaging. (Hey, it's bonus time, a little honesty can't hurt on those end of year employee evaluations!)

What is your favorite SL holiday memory?
I have to agree with Zak, that New Years party a few years ago was the best. There were lots of good friends, lots of green fairies, and great music.

What are you looking forward to the most in the upcoming holiday season?
Taking a break and spending time with my family and my friends here in SL and RL.

What part of SL holidays do you like the best and is it better than RL?
Food in SL is sooooo much easier. I don't have to spend 12 hours in the kitchen preparing a holiday meal.

Please describe your job at Peer and why you love it.
Well, I started PEER to help people look good in SL without spending a fortune. PEER started as a small shape shop, and has expanded to include clothes, some specialty skins, eyes, and soon we will have poses too! I love making things, so this is one of my favourite things to do in SL.

What do you feel is the best thing about being involved with Peer?
I meet awesome people, and I get to chat with them about how to look good... and of course making money... haha!

What are you looking forward to the most in the upcoming holiday season?
Gifts!! Whoot!!!!! .. and decorating the store, I am such a dweeb sometimes, lol!

Everyone knows that breast cancer kills 40,170 women and 440 men each year. There are an estimated 192,370 new cases of breast cancer each year. Avatars in SL do not get breast cancer, but the people behind them do. Peer is making a difference in the fight against breast cancer and you can help. We have a great pair of Think Pink Jeans that have just been introduced. 100% of the proceeds of these jeans will be donated to breast cancer research.
